A Cut Above Salon Refresh

This project was nothing short of serendipitous. When my client reached out to discuss her vision for her new salon, I felt an immediate spark. Her dream was to create an inviting, bold space that delivered a true experience to clients—from the moment they stepped inside the salon to the moment they left, feeling transformed. Designing a space where creativity and style merge to make a lasting impression was exactly what I’d been envisioning.
Key Design Elements and Scope
Right at the entrance, we set the tone with a custom-designed round wall-chair, framed by our #UrMyMuse tagline in neon. Melon-pink wallpaper, mid-century star accents, and a playful retro vibe create the ideal “Instagram spot” for clients to snap a photo. This eye-catching vignette instantly draws visitors in, creating a chic, memorable first impression.
An Instagram-Worthy Welcome
In the main salon, we focused on a clean, minimalist aesthetic with a bright, inviting feel. We combined matte and glossy whites with warm natural wood and rich leather accents, creating a balance of sophistication and comfort. Each station blends seamlessly into the open layout, giving stylists and clients room to relax and connect in a space designed to feel both functional and welcoming.
A Bright, Airy Workstation Area
Moving through the salon, clients arrive at the shampoo area, where the ambiance shifts to a calm, earthy vibe. Here, we incorporated nude-blush tiles and a moody green accent wall to add depth and warmth, complementing the original exposed brick. Inspired by a vintage Beverly Hills vibe, we infused the space with a playful touch, balancing relaxation with a hint of nostalgic glamour.
The Shampoo Sanctuary
A flexible lounge area, which now functions as a nail station, allows clients to enjoy extra services while they wait. A lively, retro-inspired wallpaper ties together the salon’s color palette, creating a cohesive, fun ambiance.
The Boutique Lounge
A bold mural of a woman’s face is paired with the message “You Blow My Mind,” adding a final touch of personality. Inside the restroom, a high-end Kravet wallpaper brings in charcoal tones with a mix of tie-dye and ombre effects. A modern custom vanity and a glowing salmon-orange resin countertop complete the edgy yet elegant look. To top it off, a glossy black lightning bolt and the hidden message #UrElectric on the door bring a playful surprise to those who enter.
This complete transformation turns an ordinary salon into a true destination—one where clients feel inspired, connected, and ready for whatever comes next.
